Fake O2 signal Generators

Need help...
Long time ago i came across an advertisement, which showing off a plug in device which generated a believable O2 signal for racing cars. Dose any one know anything about it?????

ive heard about them, i think the summit catalog might help, well call them instead

They're called O2 Sims(simulators). Common to see them on cars with removed/gutted cats. They plug in and fool your ecm into thinking the cat(s) is/are there still. Without them, the real sensors will register a malfunction and you will get a check engine light. Not really detrimental to your car's performance, but the light is annoying if you ask me.

Also aren't they for if you have an external BOV that vents into the atmosphere to prevent your engine from running lean by thinking those exhaust gases ae still there?

Well, I can only speak for the MR2 .... that O2 sensor is after the turbine amd before the cat, so the 02 doesn't know a thing about the cat.
It doesn't make sense to me that an O2 would ever be aftera cat.
Also, the O2 only affects A/F on the MR2 at idle and while steady cruise ... so there is zero performance to be gained there.

welllllll, thats because your car is not obd2 almost all obd2 cars have two cats, one pre and one post cat

The Turbo MR2 does have 2 cats ... but you are correct, it is not OBD2.
