I have already searched through the threads and all that I can find for engine swaps are 1g in a 2g, so I decided to ask for myself. Does anyone know where there is a write up on a swap of the same engine into my 95. I got an engine from a 99 and I am going to put it into my 95 so I wanted to know if there was anything I was going to need to do to make it work, how to do the swap, and anything I should do to the new engine while it is out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Everything you disconnect goes back together the same, so you won't have any unexpected problems. You could do a balance shaft removal if you are so inclined. Other than that, I can't think of anything... unless you are talking about upgrades. It would be easier to do a few engine mods out, yes.

What does a balance shaft removal do and how do you do it?

yes everything is the same except the CAS... you will either need to cut the wires of with the harness on the 99 so you can splice them into the 95 or just get a 95 CAS.... thats the only differance, 95-96 have different cam angle sensors than the 97-99!

so if I have the 99 cas I will be able to splice those wires into my 95 wiring harness?

yes... just make sure you have the same wires!

It's not something you really have to do, but there are mixed opinions.
