I a newbie to cars, and I want to add a CD/MP3 radio to my 2003 chevy malibu. I was wondering if they will disable the current keyless entry system in my car, and what parts will I need. I started researching, and I read that I would need a Harness, but do i need a wiring kit?

Thanks for any info.

1. No if you add a CD player it will not disable the keyless entry as long as you use the wires that are meant for the CD player.
2. A wiring harness is the same as a wiring kit. The harness will plug in to the back of your new radio and have wires to connect to all the wires in the car.
3. You will also have to get a cover that covers the area between the CD player and trim.

you will probably need a adapter.
you can get it at radio shack for a couple bucks.
better to get one and take it back if you do not need it.
then have to drive down and get one when your car is torn apart.
