He also has 8 F50's all the same color, some white F40's (right hand drive) I think 8 McLarens, A real life version of the Ferrari Mythos too.

He is the kind of guy that spends his money right. He has like 150 Rolls Royces too. I think he is one of the coolest billionaires out there, seeing all the neat stuff he does. He also has the largest house in the world...He is probably the richest in the world because Sam Walton Jr. (richest man in the world now), Bill Gates, and the Oracle CEO all rely on stock:frog:

When I saw the pics of the 456 wagon, I realized that it is indeed possible for someone to have more money than they know what to do with! Just because you can afford to do something, doesn't mean that you should. :)

Thats like taking the Ferrari and turning it into one of those Gay Benz wagons. i would like to take one of his mclarens and F50's. ooooooooooo! my sister went to college with some guy, and his brother is one of "the sultans" best friends. he said he has gotten to drive most of his cars, but i think that would take a life time. and are all of his F50's red i hope?!?!?!

Well, according to one of the articles I found on the web, his four (!) F-50s are Red, Silver, Black, and Yellow. The sultan isn't the one that buys all those cars... like 90% of them were bought by his brother... who the sultan has had lots of trouble with :) and i'm not gunna get into it

I think he has around 4-5 thousand cars now :D
At one point he had the Rolls-Royce factory have a section just for making his cars, and they made like 200 a year, just for him. Most of them he just gives to diplomatic people that visit, and he destroys them later because something about he doesn't people drivin his used cars

He sends them back to the Rolls factory in the UK to have their oil changed... think of how much money is wasted shipping all these cars between the 2 countries.. then think of how the money could have been used, helping people who are starving in africa :( etc...

The sultan has a staff of mechanics that work for him and live with him, they do the oil changes

and it's not like he only uses the money for himself, his whole country gets free education and health care

I'm pretty sure thats right as ive read it more than once now, from pretty reputable and trusted sources...
maybe his engineers take care of his less "special" cars...

and i think providing free education and health care is the very least he could do seeing as he is entitles to those ridiculous quantities of gold! i think people start to lose it when they have too much power/money/authority......

heres an interesting little story i read in the paper not so long ago:

this guy pretending to be the Sultan's brother walked into a London jewelry store in Knightsbridge (most expensive part of London)... he drove up in a limo, surrounded by "bodyguards" etc... anyway, he picked out a large quantity of jewels and walked out of the store, saying that his brother, the Sultan, would take care of the payment... who was the store person to argue with him? after all, the Sultan of Brunei is one of the richest men alive and this guy had just bought thousands worth (maybe millions)!! so he/she let the guy go!!! :D LOL :D

Some of the cars he has tried to sell. If no one wants them, he dumps them into the Ocean!! So somewhere there are RR, Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc on teh Ocean floor. I should get ahold of him, and have him give me stuff!!!:rolleyes:

It was his son who bought a lot of the cars. He has gotten in trouble from Daddy over it, though. (Honestly, the kid named his mega-yacht tits and its tender ships nipple 1 and nipple 2)

His RRs aren't special... he probably has like a thousand :) since the factory pumped out over 200 a year for him. He doesn't drive the RRs either, he gives them to people that visit the country so they have something to drive around it

Of note: All of Bruneis citizens do not work. They are wealthy. They make all the money from oil, they pay foreigners to pump it. So if you are born their, you will have a house, car, etc.

Well, I'm assuming he has SOME special Rolls seeing as he wants them to his own specs. Anyway I dont see the significance of this little discussion: we're fighting over what cars are and arent special to him! The simple fact is, if you have several thousand cars then very few can be that special, otherwise he could cope without the rest of 'em.. For a car to be special you have to appreciate it a lot, and clearly if he throws away half his cars they cant mean anything to him. Thats why i think he's a jerk. He's not a true petrolhead, he just owns cars for the hell of it. yes yes, i know... most arent his, but a big chunk of them are... He should learn to appreciate a smaller, more select group of vehicles and let other car-nuts around the world appreciate the rare cars he owns and rarely uses.

Thousands of cars are not used or serviced, they are just rotting away in the humidity. Which sucks.

I agree with CrazyJay. He should just buy a few cars (as many of the plebian cars as he likes, though, like Porshce 911 and Boxter, NSX's, etc), but he should only have a few of the super-duper cars that are special to him.

I dont mind if he has one example of each 'rare' car produced. But F50s in every colour etc... thats tacky. He's not a car fanatic, he just gets off on displaying his wealth. I've said it before, I'll say it again. A**hole! :D

Oh, also in Brunei, they have penthouse models and such come over to be essentially sex slaves. They get paid a ton of money, get excellent accomodation, get gifts, etc. They just have sex with whoever they are told to (dignateries, members of the royal family, other woman, etc).

About the RR-cars!
He used to order around 50 Silver Spirit a year custom made!That means the V8 6,75L engine was upgraded with twin turbos! :eek:
RR had build up a workshop to maintain the cars. These cars were the goverment cars. You've read right. When in Europe the dignitaries drive around in BMWs, Merc'S, Audis etc, in Brunei they have twin-turbos RR!

In fact the past years due to the oil prices the RR-mechanics were sent home and some of the cars that were able to be sold(not the prototypes) there were indded sold to Europe/America/Emirates

Now things are going better, he had bought last week at the debut of the RR Phantom in Dubai 12 :eek: new ones, the 6 of htem fully armoured!
