I have a GFB bov on my 02 wrx, dunno if it fits the 04 intercooler but it's very loud. My buddy was ahead of me on the freeway about 200ft away playing some music and he heard it no problem. In the future though i want to go to the HKS super sequential bov i think its called.

I think my buddy had one of the HKS Super Sequential (sp) ones. Insead of the nice Ppppst.. sound when when it releases it made like a whyeeee sound... Not very attractive. With your bov, how does it adjust?

why do you want the bov? there is no performance benefit to having an aftermarket bov unless your running very high boost... if you just want the sound, try the worx tuning one i hear its loud.
some good reading here (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=468038&highlight=bov+faq)

HKS SSQV goes off just like that if you get on it even slightly. I know at least one person who's sold it because it got to be too annoying. I like the sound it makes

GFB all the way

I just found a GFB BOV on ebay for the wrx, doesn't a BOV have to have some type of adjustment on it? My buddy has a Turbo-x one and he has springs and washers he has to deal with. Does the GFB adjust?

item.

go fast bits has a new stealth BOV which is totally adjustable, so you can have it wide open when you want, or set it to quiet so you don't get pulled over for excessive noise.

lol you can get pulled over for bov noise? Ive had mine go off next to cops several times, they just look over and go back to looking forward.

in toronto probably, it was in the papers about a year ago about a motorist getting a fine for honking his horn at the vehicle ahead sitting at a green light, a cop. Also had friends pulled over for loud exhaust when wasn't all that loud, they don't have any decibel meter, they just go by what it sounds like to them. So I wouldn't take the chance with them here.

hell, we even have parking enforcement officers that'll write fou a ticket while you giving a pedestrian first aid for a medical emergency instead of helping.

lol wth. We had tons of cops here giving tickets for everything under the sun. Saying a lot of the mufflers were against the law cause they altered emissions, then using that to check under hoods looking for modified intakes. It was a bunch of bull and they finally got called on it.

I have an 03 and the Blitz BOV, love it and the sound is cool without being annoying, though anyone who rides for the first time in the car thinks something just blew up, fun to start moaning and get them scared that the engine is about to strart throwing things like pistons into the passenger compartment, especially when you stomp on the gas right after the valve lets off. Had my wife hysterical for about a minute and then she really wailed on me when I told her nothing was really wrong
