Hello.
Could someone please tell me where the drain plug is on the front differential on a 2001 Trooper? I tried three lowermost bolts (12 mm heads) on the rear of the housing and didn’t get any oil out.
Another question: how many pumps does it take to lube the propeller and u-joins?
I don’t want to end up with unnecessary mess and carrying additional weight of the grease might heart the performance :)
Appreciate your help.

I found a drain for the front diff. One of the lower bolts that hold the case together.
The oil did not come out the first time I removed that bolt, because the hole was blocked by the gasket sealant.
As far as u-joints, I just don’t want to damage any seals if present.
Thanks again.
Alec
