parts exchange

i continually see some of the bmw 320i listed as 78 thru 83.
what parts to these years share
which are interchangeable
interior, exterior, engine, etc.
i have an 83
my local picknpull has three 79's.
are they of any help to me?
i need a left door and misc. interior parts
