89 z-24 fuel leaking into air filter

I have gas leaking into my air filter and car will not start. help please.

Eruh...that's weird.
All the fuel should stay below the air filter.
If it's soaked with gas-you've got either a flooding or percolating problem.

I assume your car has a throttle body (MPFI cars' injectors are nowhere near the air filter-a TBI is basically a glorified carburetor anyways).

Look for bad O-rings or seals right near the injector that could be spraying fuel into the air filter.
This could also be dumping more liquid fuel down the throttle body than the computer can compensate for, which results in the same condition as a flooded carburetor (No start). It could also be a fuel pressure regulator issue-torn diaphragm in the regulator will cause max fuel delivery when it's not needed-filling the TBI bore faster than the lil' bitty air bleed hole in the throttle plate can dissipate-causing it to run/spit into the filter housing.
It's also a hella fire hazard.
