I don't think the following accident was caused by racing but it sure affected me. BTW this was a IM so thats why it is screwed up kinda.
Thanks for time!!!

O yea and Barret is a road everyone cruises on in Kennesaw/Marietta Georgia.

I saw the most horrific crash in my life. i didn't see it happen, got there right after it. it was on barret extension, accros from that camp or somethin where the pond is, they where going towards mall. on way home from my hockey game, i was paassed by about 7 police cars and ambulence and we knew somethin wrong.

We got there and about 30 people were standing around, there was front seats dashboards glass to hell and back all over road , a car that was white had only the 2 right doors left. the roof entire left side, whole front end, and back end were gone, it was just 2 right doors on a frame, so have no idea what so ever the car, the entire inside was gone also. then there was a suv laying sideways, but i could just see the bottom of that, couldn't tell what they were,

it was the worst thing i ever seen, about 20 police cars and 2 ambulences and 2 fire trucks. traffic stopped. about 30 people pulled over I guess they saw it happen or somethin they were all standing everywhere. i wanted to throw up seriously they most definatley died, no doubt. not sure about the suv tho, cuz i just saw the bottom of it. it was scary, i drove really slow all the way home, and my heart like sunk, to know they died like that in a second prolly. i felt so bad could have been me so easily, usually Im on barret that time of nite on fridays. man big wake up call for me. you really had to be there to feel it. Just wanted to let everyone know. Sorry for screwed up sentences, i copied what i sent a friend, on IM. Peace- Drive safe:)

about an hour ago on Barrett forums I heard someone in a prelude tried running from the cops and flipped on top of another car. Are we talking about the same incident?

sounds bad :(

I remember one of the first times i went out cruising (got my lisence about 5 months ago) in my dad's car. Of course most kids my age wanna race and stuff when they fist get their lisences and ill admit I had the craving too.

Anyways, I was driving at about 50 along a road 2 lanes on each side and a turning lane. There were all these cop cars and ambulances on my right when I drove by and I was curious what had happened. Everybody slowed down and I looked and much to my horror the only thing that was left on the road was the chalk outline of a body.

Talk about a wake up call, this kind of stuff is really hard to imagine until you see it yourself. Im glad it happened in a sense cause that put all thoughts of racing behind me.

i read an article about the po po ...... the police only get pissed with racers because they have to look at your ugly carcass when you crash and burn ... it's not really fair that they have to see the mess you made or anything like that .... most the time the cops are sick when they see the scene of a road racing accident

KEEP it to the Track or at least sensible speed ... nuthing above 20 over except residential where you shouldn't speed because of children .... i tend to keep the speed limit some people need to limit the amount of stupidity they'll do .

I was going to the shop in the work truck one day and saw a little smoke and a bunch of people pulled over... SOme of the people flagged me down and ask if I had a fire ext. So I pulled over and got it out and of course you know those things last about three seconds when you hit the button... But any way I though it was a junk car in the bushes that some kids set on fire or something... Little did I know what the real deal was!!! I walk down there and started spraying the stuff on the front of the suv and walked around still spraying it to the drivers side and ther it was!!! A man burnt to death!!! I almost passed out!!!! I was so mad!!! If I had been 2 min earlier I could have saved him!!! Then the stupid cops and fire and abulance didn't get there for at least another 15 min!!!!! By that time the entire SUV was in flames.... The poor guy driving was a doc in cartersville.... He was on his cell phone and run off the road and flipped a time or two.... The horible part is he survived the crash it knocked him out.. then he woke up smelling the fumes I think and tried to get out and got stuck in the window where he died of smoke inhailation and then burt!!!! It took me a while to get over that!!!:(

I saw the worst accident of my life as I was walking home one day. A 4 door cavalier had gone off the road (on a perfectly straight stretch), clipped the far wall of a ditch and spun/flipped... It managed to take out the center section of a telephone pole (the bottom section was still in the ground, the top was still attached to the wires, hanging) and then hit the ground again... flipped... and came to a rest on its roof... It looked like a fawkin pancake, it was so thin... The ambulance drove away without the lights on... slowly... I've got a feeling nobody got out of that car alive...:(
How the fawk can anyone do something like that... it was a straight road for fawk sakes!!!

The reason why I plan on quitting street racing is because of the nightmare that cost two innocent lives and sent my friends to prison.

My friend drove a hatchback, fixed up and he had a 80 shot set up. My other friend drove an Integra LS, built up, he had a 50 shot. This Civic Si all decalled out came down from SD and was driving around. My friends didn't recognize his car so they hit him up. The guy in the Si agreed to race and they headed to the light, I was behind them in my Mustang when I had it. It was a three lane high way and off they went... At about 65 mph my friend in the Integra sprayed, and the Civic Si sprayed too, I guess he had nos, coz I could see the fumes... My friend with the hatch had never sprayed an 80 shot before and we told him not to until he got better tires coz he would slip, he had trouble keeping up and he sprayed anyways... His car started to lose traction and he slipped, at that point my heart stopped. I swerved over to the shoulder and started to slow down, knowing there was nothing I could do but watch and hope. Traffic from behind me couldn't react, he gained traction again and was aimed towards the shoulder, and an SUV was going towards him, the person in the SUV freaked and she locked her brakes with her steering wheel aimed the opposite direction. Because she was going about 80 the car skidded and flipped, the momentum caused a lot of rolls. At that point I hadn't even paid attention to the fact that my friend's hatch crashed too, I couldn't think of anything but 911 and who was behind the wheel of the SUV. I called 911 from my cell and pulled over close to the SUV and threw my hazards, it wasn't long before other cars started to pull over. As I walked towards the SUV I could hear two things, my heart beat getting stronger and the sirens getting louder. I tried and tried to open the doors of the SUV, but I knew the driver was already gone, repeated screams asking if she was okay were left empty. i ran over to the passenger side to find the door gone, i looked under hoping ther wasn't a passenger, and there wasn't, i felt relief until i looked at the back seat. out of respect for the dead i can't describe what i saw, but i can say that what was back there had been too young to enjoy the fruits of life, i desperately tried to reach to the back to pull the baby seat out, but my vision wasn't clear and the seats were bent out of shape leaving no room for me to get through. at that point the paramedics showed up and pulled me away, covered with tears and blood i was lead back to my car, and at that point my friend showed up and tried to lie to the cops telling them that it was her fault. i don't remember too well what happened after that, but i do remember that the cops had to pull me off and that same state of mind is the reason why i have no hope that he ever leaves those prison walls. feeling guilt for what happened made me testify against my own friends and also prevented me from going to the family's funeral.
the woman was apparantly the wife of a cop and that child was his first born... do you still think racing is fun? every friday when they're out on the scene those same moments play back in my mind and all i can do is ask god for forgiveness that i hadn't realized what i was doing and stopped my friends earlier.

Just reading all those posts makes me sad, I don't EVER want something like that to happen to either me or anybody I know, I suggest that ANYBODY who wants to race goes to track! Heres a story, my friends soccer coach, ownes a motocylce, on one hot day he decided to not wear a helment, so stupid as he was, without a helment and on a motocuycle he starts going fast on the road with alot of traffic, the woman was gonna make a left to that road where has was driving and she looked to the left, the side he was coming from, he was far away she looked to the right and steped on the gas, in thses 3 seconds him being far away and going 100MPH in 45 zone, the women comes out, he hits the side of her, FLIES 40 feet over the car crashes on his head, without a helment, but no, this is not where it ends, police comes and they take him to hospital, he was braindead, he brain was not working but every other part in his body was, he was still breathing, for days his family cried and they knew there was no hope but they still didn't want to sign the paper to cut the machine off, so later maybe a week later of him being in the hospital and doctors saying there was no chance they shut him down while his dad was still in the room. It makes me mad...

One of the people I knew, STUPID ASS, same thing, this guy was drunk, going 90 on a 45 zone, the women comes out and he hits her, she dies he survives, goes to hospital and he was gonna go to court and probably get many many if not life time of jail, but he flies to europe and now hes in europe, got away with murder... I don't know, hes stupid, but ME, I couldn't live knowing that I killed somebody...

Wow talk about somebody being a retard.

Enough with the trashtalking okay? So in three days time, you managed to give up a 2002 RSX Type S and get a 2001 Pontiac Trams Am? Hm... I wonder... First off, how did you manage to find someone that paid you full price for your RSX so you can, buy a Trans Am the next day.

Or, if your RSX wasn't paid off, which is the more probable truth, how did you manage to trade it in at a Dealership that would give you what it's worth without screwing you too bad for negative equity. (considering the car's only been out for a matter of months, is highly unreasonable that you paid off the financing charges, destination charges and taxes on the vehicle for you to actually owe less than what the car's worth) AND find a dealership with a 2001 Trans am that was actually taking the trade in....
