Do boats have titles just like cars do? and if you are selling or buying one privately, would you go to a notary to get it signed over?

Yes they do. And you have to register them every year or something like that just like a car.

The answer also depends on what state you are in and the size of the boat.

My friend has one,also has a trailer. It requires plates,title,insurance,all kinds of bullsh^&.
