When Shifting into drive...Car Dies!!!

My next door neighbor has a 1991 Buick LeSabre...when he starts it up it runs good...but when he puts in drive the car dies...3 or 4 times then starts to run good...we have looked at the fuel filter and even changed it.

We put in a new oxygen sensor, camshaft sensor, new plugs, new wires...we cannot figure out what else could be wrong...can anyone help?:banghead:

make sure ground wires are tight under the coil pack behind ground cable

when my '86 lesabre did just that, it was from a vacuum leak. More specifically, I changed the throttle body gasket and that fixed the problem.
