Overall I am really happy with the end result. I had been thinking of doing a Matt car since I bought my Son one of the latest Hot Wheels cars. It looks very different on the shelf.
Now onto my next project :) I think I'll leave matt paint jobs alone for a while! :sly: :banghead:

Chris,
Here is the link for the Carbon Decals.
http://www.scalemotorsport.com/default.asp?decals
Make sure you use heaps of MICROSCALE - Micro Sol setting solution and it will soften and conform to almost any shape. Also when using this if you have an overhang of decal you can gently swipe the excess film with a small amount of liquid glue and it just disappears.

Thanks again.

One of the best SAS build ups i've seen, awesome! Must have been a real bitch to keep finger prints off the matt paint job.

Now THIS is a model! I love it. The description kind of scared me. The pictures made me :eek7: :eek7: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

I love the look...the color scheme w/o a wing and w/the large rims works perfectly. If it were shiny it would need a wing. But not this one!

Killer! :sunglasse :sunglasse :sunglasse

Chris, that is very kind of you to make such a comment. The bodykit was easy to use and great quality. I'll be buying heaps more when all your new kits come out!

WOW!! Looks SOOO real! I love it. Did you put eyelids on it? how'd you make those? I totally love the wingless look....very mean.

I made the eyelids by masking the clear plastic covers then spraying the black in a few coats to build up the thickness.

Yes I lowered the car by about 3mm front and back. I'm pretty sure there is a thread in the 'How to' section on lowering cars.

Thanks again everyone for the comments and especially SAS for the great Body Kit!

Sorry BRM, as much as I'd like a motor in an R34 kit, they don't make them at the moment. If you do want the motor you have to buy the Tamiya R32 kit and do the mod's. Maybe next time?
