hotshot turbo questions

wow... i haven't posted here in a long time.. neways.. i was considering swapping the DET in, but after catching up on the posts, I figured, why swap when my car has less than 25K miles on it. I have about $2,000 saved up and I was thinking about doing the HotShot turbo kit. I have some questions tho...

(1) I heard somewhere that the T3 turbo is somewhat unreliable, is that true?

(2) Is there any way I can get it for cheaper than the $3,299 price tag that is on the HotShot site? Luke? Anyone?
