Man you guys got to wear hats in school? WTF we didn't LOL. If we had a hat on it automatcally became property of the school and you would never see it again.

They are only allowed to wear the hats a minute before class starts or leaves.

Wow, really? Thats wierd, when I was in cali, we could wear hats, but that was back in 4th grade, I guess things have changed a lot in the last 12 years...lol

Most kids in my high school wear caps everywhere. Some teachers get sick of it. But I don't wear a hat.

Monterey is beautiful, I enjoy going to the high school even though we are on a very tight budget. It fun to be here except all the girls in my high school are all a bunch of Pre-Madonnas. They all go for the "rich" "buff" jocks. That is why I like being in a city instead of a conservative-liberal town.

Yeah I know what you mean about the girls goin for all the rich jocks, its like that in a lot of places. I guess I just noticed that I never got any girls during high school, so it didnt matter to me where they were, all I knew is they werent with me...stuck up bitches...lol

Each period for my school is 55 minutes. Thats pretty long compared to most schools.

Cool idea, schools here have 7 periods a day at 47 minutes.

^ I have to take those Standarize test and each class will be two hours for the next three weeks! But I only have to go to three.

Damn 2 hours each x3, when we had testing here we only did 2 at a time and they were 2 hours each. I couldn't imagine doing 3 of them.

Yes, very nics cars because a lot of rich people live there and also we have the Laguna Seca race track.

Also, our school maybe poor, but there are kids that drive BMW's and Mercedes Benz to school as their everyday car.

I know. Thats why I love Monterey. So many great cars every day. Good seafood too :evillol:

Our Clam Chowder is the best!

yeah, I like going on the warf, where they have little glasses of clam chowder as samples. After awalk on the warf, you dont even need to buy food :evillol:

I have 4 periods a day, each 68 minutes long. Canada is fun :D

What else is there? Whiteboards are not that expensive.

The food is still cooked by hairy old women.

Oh yeah, i got 6 periods and around 50 mins each. Only one break,for lunch, 30 min long :disappoin

Here in VA we have 8 classes total. 4 on one day, 4 on the next day. Each class is roughly 90 minutes long, with a 30 minute lunch. Kinda sucks, but when you think about it, you get to sleep longer without being woken up :icon16:

My school celeberated 150 years of engineering a couple months back, but that's a Univeristy.

Yea we got it, we just sat here wishing we didn't. :)

We weren't allowed to wear hats in highschool ('93-'97) because somebody got caught with drugs underneath theirs.. Nor were we allowed pagers, because if you had a pager it was because you're a dealer :rolleyes:

I forgot to say that five kids in our school were trying to ditch and a cop stop them and searched them. Turn out that all five of them had pot. That will hurt their future!

Bah. We're not allowed to have "non-academic technological devices" (guess they didn't want people splitting hairs over it) either... well, not during class anyway. No matter how hard they try, they can't legally make us put them away before/ after school, between periods or during break/ lunch. Powa!
