Ohms and Amps, help!

Ok, I'm going to get (2) Infinity Kappa Perfect 10". They're 350 rms at 4 ohms. So if I get the JBL BP-1200.1, which is 600 watts at 4 ohms, would I be correct in assuming that 300 watts will go to each of the subs? Thanks in advance.

the .1 in 1200.1 means that it's a mono or single channel amp. That means you will be running both speakers on the same channel. If you wire them in series, the amp will se a 2 ohm load. I think it has been tested to put out like 1400 watts into a 1 or 2 ohm load.

That amp is mono, meaning it only has 1 channel. In order to power both of those subs with that one channel, you have to wire them together in either series or parallel.

In series, the signal goes from the amp through one speaker, and then through the other speaker, and then back to the amp. The impedence that the amp sees is the sum of each speaker, so in this case it would see a 4 + 4 = 8ohm load, and it would put out ~300 watts total, which would then be split between the subs and they would each see 150.

In parallel, the signal comes from the amp, is split between both speakers, and then returns to the amp. The impedence the amp sees is half that of each speaker (actually it's a little more complicated than that, but when you're wiring 2 identical impedences together it works), so in this case it would see 4 / 2 = 2ohm, and it would put out 1200 watts. This 1200 watts would then be split between each speaker and they would each see 600 watts.

In your case, the JBL 600.1 would be a much better fit. Wire the subs in parallel to show the amp a 2ohm load, it will put out its 600 watts, and each sub will get 300.
