Quick question for you guys who know alot about alarms..the battery is dying on my Python alarm remote. I found a battery for 4 bucks, can I just replace it, or does it need reprogramming after replacing the battery?

You shouldn't need to reprogram anything. I replaced the battery on my alarm's remote and everything was okay. So unless if your alarm is some special high-tech one, it'll probably be fine.

my pops alarm on his vette when you replace the battery, you have to put the key in the ignition, hold lock and unlock at the same time for 10 sec until you hear a honk and then its programmed.

yes you should be ok with that make just make sure you change it within 30 secs as some remotes have a memory in them.

I sell Python alarms. You will be OK to change out the battery. Might want to clean out the contacts when you do. Also, go to Walmart and buy the battery for $1.25 for a pack of 2!
