Hey guys..
I was wondering if any of you has Borla's exhaust system (stainless steel full exhaust system) on his TrailBlazer/Envoy or at least had the chance to experience a Borla.
- How is the power gain?
- Have you noticed anything good/bad?
- Sound. Loud or just smooth?
- Does it worth spending 1G for it?
- Would it affect on the engine in a bad way later after use for few months/years?
.. Thanks

I saw Borla's system also and it looks sweet. I just don't see how they justify the $1G! My experience is that you can have an equivilant system welded up by a competent shop for about half. I had mine done using a single exhaust (after all, you only have one header) using 3" pipe (not stainless) through a Flowmaster for $100 total by a friend in about 2 hours--sounds and runs sweeeet! The reason I used 3" was to maintain a good flow over the axle (it gets really cramped in there and needs flattened slightly). I don't see how a true dual exhaust would fit without long term problems (at least on my short wheel base model).

I agree with wwalbright (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=165271), you can get a system put on at your local welding shop for under 1/2 the price. My local shop told me that they could do it for $450 (full system), and they could put the duel out the back, without any problems, although I went for the single exhaust 4" stainless "magnaflow" tip. Good luck.
