Hey all I currently own a 1996 chevy cavalier 2.2l and I am thinking of buying a late 90's Camaro... I need to know your opinion on the camaro as far as ride, handling, reliability, quality, mpg, etc...I would greatly appreciate some imput

camaro's handle pretty nice, probly 16mpg with a V8 and are pretty reliable. if your looking for a a tuned port, i'd definatly go with what your looking at. 90 and up TP's are better than the older ones, in 1990 they went back to MAP instead of MAF which is a hell of a lot cheaper to replace. the MAF always goes bad and cost about $200 for a new one. MAP's are only about $30. Camaro's are so much better than Cavalier's, and in my opinion the 2.2 is junk

personally, get yourself a 94 z28, unless you have the money for an ss. the styling of the 94's is (in my opinion) the best out of the fourth gens and there are plenty of aftermarket parts for that year. these cars were all made pretty well and they dont hide problems well, just shop around and pick out your personal preference.

i like the 4th gens too, but the only thing i dont like is that the Z rated tires are so expensive

Same thing I want to know... 97 had different Tailights and interior, but i'd assume 93-96 are exactly the same?

awesome tire prices. saw the corvette tires we sell at the dealership for 360bucks, for 170bucks :)

anyway, i think its safe to say that asking a camaro forum for its take on camaros, is asking for a positive reaction, so if your asking us, its to affirm your desision to buy one, so basicly you already want it, go test drive a few and decide for yourself, thats the best advice i have for ya.
