Yeah those are designed to get around spam filters. Some filters watch your commonly used words and filter out email with seldom used words assuming it's spam since it is unlike the rest of your email. This tries to throw off the weighting by adding in a ton of gibberish to spread out the distribution and make it past the filters. It also makes it very obvious that it's intentional spam and mostly makes the message unreadable from what I've seen.
