Oh Sh*%

i have no idea wtf is going on with my car now. all of the sudden this sound is coming from my timing belt area. it sounds as if something inside the head broke loose and is rattling around inside it. it ONLY does this when, example, im doing 40 mph and i want to go say 45 mph, when I push on the gas ever so slightly it makes that rattling sound or if im going up a slight incline. it does not do this at idle or if im going down a hill. could this be my oil pump. my light comes on for a little bit longer than it used to but there is plenty of oil. and help is greatly appreciated.

hmm is it almost like pinging if so maybe your timing jumped and your valves are tapping the head. or your getting detonation. not for sure but a guess.

you can check im not totally for sure its just a guess.

I would start by checking the timming with a timming light to see if the timming belt may have jumped a tooth or so and advanced the timming too much and is causing ping.

oh damn is now the phrase of my day. i have spent the last 4 days trying to figure this out. i have actually replaced the whole head. checked the timing, rechecked the timing, checked the oil pressure, made sure the lifters were adjusted right, and gas in the tank. and still the same problem. now it is starting to sound as if it is something internal. with the block. maybe the bearings on the crank? do those go? the damn sound is coming from somewhere around the crank by the timing belt. if anyone has had something similar plz let me know. this is really bothering me now, i don't want anything bad to happen to my baby:crying:
