I just put some new underdrive pullies on my 90 gt, everything went smooth, stater car up and took her around the block and notices the battery light was on... seems altonator went bad as soon as I started car with new pullies... just my bad luck or is this common?
Also planning to do a X-Pipe and gears... but I have a few questions relating to the gears. Most of you guys just change the gears or throw in a whole new rear? I was going to just do gears to save the money, just interested. My main question is should I go with 3:73 or 4:10 or ?:??. What are the stock gears in the car? Thanks, any tips appreciated.

Your alternator may have just barely been cutting it as it was. Underdriving it just showed that it was on it's last legs. Fox-body stangs have barely adequate alternators to begin with get yourself at least a 90-amp alternator from ya local part store and you should be fine.
Most just change gears but while it was out I would have the stock Ford Trac-loc rebuilt cause probably 80% of the Fox stangs out there with the stock ford Trac-loc needs to be rebuilt. You can switch to a different diff. but a well built Trac-loc is a fine performing piece.
As far as what to go with it is an opinion things I think 3.73's are a much friendly daily driver gear with nice performace gains. Some people think 4.10's are perfectly fine for a daily driver. But some think 600HP+ engines make good daily drivers also, it's all opinion.
You car stock 2.73-3.08 if it's a 5-speed, 3.27 for an auto

My goal with this car eventually is low to mid 13s, besides the basics like pullies, CAI, X-Pipe and gears how much more will I need? What will be the cheapest route to get me there?

if ur wanting to change it to 5 lugs (if u havent already) it might be a good idea to get a rearend outta a newer mustang, that way u could get disc brakes, 5 lug, etc, if you dont have that already.
also, gtstang, whats the best way to test your trac-lok to see if its still good, in the car (95 gt with 150000) thx!

Your alternator is probably not bad, it just isn't spinning fast enough with the underdrive pulley to create enough power. Check out this link. It will help you determine which alternator to use to help solve your problem. Check out 3,6,7,and 11.

Best way to test your Traction-Loc is to spin out somewhere were you can get out and look directly back at you rubber burn out pattern. If you show rubber from both wheels, you're OK. If you only show rubber from one wheel, your Traction-Loc needs a new clutch pack. The unit "locks-up" under high stress conditions allowing both axles to spin evenly. That's why if you "get on it" during a hard curve, the car tends to straighten out as both rear wheels are locking up. Can be a bit disconcerting the first time you experience it.

my big problem is when i get on it, my tires lose traction really bad, and i was told it could be that one is tire is breaking lose, making the other break lose. I havent gone through a turn hard yet, but something to keep in mind, thx! sorry for using this thread ALJR.

Pretty much what he said sums it up, other then 3.73's for standard, 4.10's for auto.
