Firebird mods

I just bought a 97 firebird. It has the 3.8 v6....Pushing about 200hp.. What are the best mods for the money right now? My first Trans Am was a 1980. It was alot different to do mods on then the new cars

Like most cars i would start out with i/h/e and then go to maybe a new computer chip/programmer. That should be your first 1500$-1700$. It should increase your mileage big time and add bout 25hp and 30lb/ft.

Intake Headers exhaust

hey i got a 97 3.8 2 if u want 2 find parts go 2 thunderracing.com or lmperformance.com they got alot of stuff for firebirds on there.i just ordered a magnaflow exhaust from thunder racing that ran me 511.32 i think u should check that exhaust out and check out the slp loud mouth exhaust. i think they are both kind of good if u want some sound bites on them go 2 google and type in exhaust sound then tipe in what one u want 2 hear. im also im the middle of saving up for my intake wich is from slp that is gona run u 219.95 wit out tax and shipping. i mean this is my choise of parts but u might want 2 get flowmasters or borla. but i only fount one tye of headder and that is made by rk sport that will run u 495.00 wit out the tax and shipping . but i recomend u look for ur self because everyone has diffrent taste but i recomend u get rid of the v6 and try 2 get a trans am or atleast a formula because the v6 is slow they only run 16.2 in the 1/4. but any way good luck on ur hunt for hp.
