newbe tweed question

hey everyone. I'm a newbe around here and have a question.

I just bought some tweed to redo my interior. My question is about covering door panels. Are there any tricks involved with covering door panels? I mean with the curves and stuff. Does it help to dampen the tweed or maybe use a heat gun. I have heard both but don't trust them. Anyone have some better ideas?
