HELP! Automatic Transmission Scratch...Standard?

I have an 89 Honda Prelude si with an automatic transmission. The tranny shifts fine, (it's actually pretty fast with the AT), I just had the fluid replaced, but when I shift out of reverse it gets a screetching sound for a second. It sounds like the gears are grinding a little. It is only when i shift out of reverse into neutral or park. It shifts fine from neutral to drive and most times from park to drive...it just makes the sound after reverse is engaged and I shift out of it. Is this normal? It's freaking me out! Is there an adjustment I can do to make this stop, or is this the beginning of the end for my tranny? When the idle is up on the car, like when i first start it, is when the sound is the worst. Any help would be much appeciated. I don't want to be dumping $1500 into a tranny. Is it hard to make this car a standard?

THANKS!

It's probably not supposed to do that. Take it in for a free assessment first and then decide. There are places that won't charge you for an estimate.
