My car vs Stealth R/T

Finally got the car to running condition after a cracked head. I was going down through the neighborhood to go onto a main road. I was held back by the light which turned red on me. So I was waiting to turn and I see a Dodge Stealth R/T pass by. It has been about 5 minutes so i figured he was long gone. What do you now he was driving real slow on the fast lane. So I take it he wants to run. I pull up next to him he doesn't want to bite. I could tell he wanted to run because he steps on the accelerator a bit to make space with the car behind him for me to get in back. So I give in and pull up right behind him at a red light.

Here we go!

The light turns green off we go! Shift to second I am gaining ground. Third i pass him up. So I shut down around 80. Next thing you know he wants another crack at it.

Here we go again!

On a roll going about 40. My shifter was in second rpms already at 4-5 no bite so i shift to third and just wait on him. I am about a cl ahead. He tries to bite but grinds when he down shifts. Another try her down shifts again finally some action. He flies by me like a mad man gaining about a 2cl ahead. I then decide to down shift to second. Here I come gaining ground on second 1cl ahead now. I am catching up. Third right on his rear bumper. Switch lanes hit fourth going about 125 I pass him up. :buttrock

Finally it's time to shut down it was a fun ordeal. I was really enjoying it. But i think the other guy was mad so he pulls up behind me at a red light for me to make a u-turn. What do you know he was tail gating me right on my rear bumper. I thought he wanted another crack at it but no bite so I make that u-turn and just drive normal all the way back home :cool:

For some reason racing at rolls just dont due people justice, I would rather take it from the line. But good kill xautoxracerx that was a pretty good match up with stock cars.

Actually my car is fully stock. I just installed a rebuilt head.

An M3 and RT is a bit of a mismatch. You've got him out powered at about the same weight. Good kill though. To bad the guy acted like a jerk tailgating you like that.

yep, but if i'm not mistaken there is the n/a r/t and the tt r/t

I dunno... thought they were all turbo? GTO/3000gt/STEALTH are all the same, right? Should have a the TwinTurbo... but I could be wrong 'cus I know little about MITSUBISHI.

yeah he has i believe something like 265hp in his m3 th e rt has 222hp but if it was the rt tt then it has 300hp, and i doubt it was the twintuurbo.

Actually my car weighs more than an RT by about 200 lbs i would say. I can't really say how much horses my car has but since it is stock I would say about 210 to the wheels. Also his car my have had some upgrades. When he down shifted the second run he got a huge jump on me. So i can't really predict what he has. I wouldn't see why it would be a mismatch! :2cents:

Actually my car only has about 210 to the wheels so and the specs are 240 to the flywheels with 226lbs of torque. Please keep the facts straight. I am not trying to flame but I am just keeping things right! :grinno:

If I ever see the dude again I will try my best to run him off the line!

Yes it could be various reasons why. Let me think :uhoh: one being an UPGRADE. Two he could have been turbo with a bad driver and got lucky cause he put it in the right gear. If you have some more please feel free to fill in the blanks _________________, _________________, __________, etc.

lol, your very defensive, his car might have a better power band then you at the certain speed on downshift he might be at 5 grand and you at 4200. he might have downshifted first. there are your other reasons, stop being so defensive, :grinno: i'm not attacking you

The weight advantage is even. We both weigh in at about 3100. But i will give it to you with the flywheel hp that is correct.

Well the weight really depends on what year it was...and being that you didn't know...that would make a difference.
91 =3,076 lbs
92/93= 3,373 lbs
94/95=3,164 lbs
96=3,153 lbs

So isn't this weight argument kinda obsolete?

It sure does depend on which year it is. But I kind of figured it had to be a newer version because of the way it looked.

And it depends on how much the drives weighs to right...............................guys.......... .................right?

Yeah - I have no intention of making the weight an issue. A hundred pounds here or there means little.

Okay update!

One of my buddies came over yesterday and asked me if I ran a dodge stealth down Hammer Lane (local street). I told him yeah did you see me. Well it turns out that it was his uncle who I had an encounter with. I was like are you serious. So I asked him if his uncle had a TT and he told me "yes it's stock though." I was suprised with this it's a small world. Well his uncle had him tell me that next time I see him on the freeway I will beat him! I just smiled!

Oh yeah one more thing my friends uncle was driving his integra yesterday going real fast through the neighborhood reving the motor and peeling out. I thought to myself what a sore loser!
