Help!My car is locked,doesn't start

I need urgent help.Just bought a VW Passat 99, Everything was OK.But I have to replace battery.Replaced battery.Radio in "Safe",i do not have the code,I will have to go to the dealer.But my worst problem is that the sunroof doesn't open, the upper console lights don't work,so I replace the batteries of the remote control and when I pressed it the car locked completely.I opened it but it doesn't start.I suppossed it has to deal with the alarm.Please help!

Is this a VR6 engine? It doesn't start, but does it crank over?
