Is this bad????

I got a head off of a 95 special edition about a month ago. since i don't have a garage i left it at my friends house. i bought this huge rubermaid tub and about 5 gallons of that power clean degreaser and poured it in the tub and left the head in there. now its been about 3 to 4 weeks and i just remembered that i left it in there:frown: when i took it out today it had all this crystalin build up on it. i took a brass brush and started brushing it off. it all seems to be coming off and everything looks fine. now my question is, was this a BAD idea? i am going to be changing all the seals and gaskets too. and one more question, should i use the cams off of the newer head or off my ls?
