I'm too lazy to post pics so go here:
http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pages/HOT%20STAFF%20Part%20II%20-%20S2000%20Motor.htm
or google f20c Ae86

Has anyone tried doing this before in 1/24? If anyone can do it I beleive it would be Willimo, as he built up the Sakatsu F20c already :naughty:

ONe thing the page mentions is that " The intake exhaust are reversed, just to make things more difficult for even seasoned custom tuner."????
What does that mean, I thought the intake manifold and the exhaust for the F20C are still in the same location.

Anyways this would be a badass project.

Neat! I saw an article in one of my dad's magazines about an F20C stuck into a Sunbeam (I think, maybe a Tiger? Even maybe an MG?) and that was killer to the max. That little 4-banger can find home anywhere, as far as I am concerned. I've been planning to mount one on my bicycle. Talk about power to weight!

In the left hand steering point of view, the intake of the 86 is located in the passenger side, and the exhaust manifold is on the driver's side, and the 4A-G engine is tilted to the driver's side. The F20's intake and exhaust are located in the opposite side of the 4A-G, so they had to work around to make all the pipings to fit.

(I always think cross breeding is a lame idea. I would have put the race-proven 3S-G turbo, if it's a Toyota.)

Why is cross-breeding lame? In the UK Ford Escort Mk2 with a Vauxhall 16v engine is a popular conversion - excellent lightweight RWD chassis and strong affordable engine make a perfect match.

Personally, Id kill to have a supra engine/tranny combo in my 86 corolla. I think the whole honda-toyota thing is lame, but, that's my opinion. I think the only reason that s2k motor is in the 86, is because the 86 is a better can than the s2k! :)

I’m new to this site..
In my opinion if you can do it, by all means do it. More power to you.
Here’s a pic of my buddy’s F20C powered Celica and F20C powered AE86
