Has anyone used NO2 or heard anything about it. Its suposed to be quite an effective supplement.
If you guys know anything about how effective it is, what it should be paired with as suplements go and any side effects. I would really apreciate the information.

interesting.... i am just about to start using this supplement. i guess i will be the one to experiment with it first.
i am guessing you have read and know what the purpose for it is, because i know you are an intelligent guy and you would research something before you ask a question about anything. umm, from what i have read, i believe that it could be incredibly beneficial.
i do not think that it has to be paired with any supplements, but after doing some reading i believe it makes sense to take it with creatine(cycled of course). i would also make sure that my electrolyte comsumption was high also-(potassium and sodium for those who don't know).
the only side effect that i read about was diarrhea. this is because of the greater induction of argenine. long term side effects are unknown just like creatine.

yeah I've read quite a bit on it but second opinions are always nice, and you cannot ever do enough reseach.
From what i have read about it uses an argenine derivative (alpha-ketoglutarate) to increase the Nitric Oxide levels in your blood.
Its main effect is hemodilation with the obvious advantage to better feeding your muscles.
but it aparently has some other beneficial side effects
It signals cell gowth and protein synthasse and even increase glucose uptake
It acts as an antinflamatory
And it might even coax some slow twitch muscle into fast(previously though imposible)
So its supposed to be quite amazing
The guys at MRI recomend using it with creatine since its compliments it rather nicelly. Also they recomended to use creatine ethyl ester hcl over the regular creatine monohydrate since its suposed to be better.
I plan to try it soon too. Brand wise I think i'll start with the original NO2 made by MRI since it has a sustained release formula.
Maybe we shoud try updating each other on the results since it sounds like we might be starting NO2 around the same time.

slow twitch to fast?!!!!!! i dont think that will ever be possible. i guess i need to read some more. holy cow!
creatine ethyl ester hcl is much more expensive...if you find a good deal, please PM me.
NO2 is way overpriced IMO, i want to try the Pinnacle one, i think its NOx2. i found it to be $30 cheaper. i dont think this "sustained releasing" is too important, but i really do not know. i do know that there is a specific TIME to take this supplement (before breakfast, and just before your workout), and that it should be taken on an empty stomach.
-i am stating that i weigh 157lbs at 5'6" as of 4/16/04. i will order a bottle this weekend, as well as MCT oil. i guess in a few weeks, i hope to see some change to my weight there. i would like to be 165-170. i was up to 161 on my weight gaining stage, i have lost a few due to cardio.

Well I just purchased a bottle of NO2 $84 for 180 pills talking about expensive. I will use it in combination with volumizer made by apex and metoxybolic also made by apex.
The volumizer its a combination of creatine, taurine, L-Glutamine, glycine, L-alanine, Betanine, Inositol. Its suposed to be very effective since it works in stages. basically after the creatine receptors max out the taurine receptors are still going and then when those max out the glutamine are still going.....
the metoxy is just a testosterone carrier
Hopefully the combination should be quite effective.
I just got off the phone with MRI (makers of NO2) and they confirmed: There are no known bad interactions with those suplements.
Also its true they recomend lots of water and it should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 min before or after a meal. It should be taken first thing in the morning and no later than 3:00 PM since it will keep you up at night.
well now I'm at 192 LBS 5'11"- 6'00" on 04/16

I thought having slow/fast twitch muscle fibers was a hereditary trait...am i wrong? I'm sure with training one could heighten the endurance of fast twitch or the instantaneous strength of slow twitch, but it would be amazing if a supplement could accomplish something like that

That is conventinal thought, and it was what i knew too. But this is what they claim in their info so i can't be 100% certain, which is why I used "might". It would be cool if it were true though.

good news, i got my NO2x in the mail the other day. i will add it to my diet tomorrow morning before breakfast and 1/2 hour before training.
neutrino-(cool name BTW, i bet most people dont know what it means.) do you do cardio in the mornings? i am going to start, and i was wondering if it affected your stomach. wake up at 7am, take the pill, go do cardio, then eat breakfast. thats what i plan to do. i have a pansy stomach though, it gets upset quite easily.

Thanks, I chose the name because I have a hobby in quantum physics, in particular, particle physics/standard model. And yes I have weird hobbies.
Well I have been taking the supplement combination, eating a lot, pushing myself harder than usual, and of course good old fashioned placebo;) and I managed to put over 6 pounds. True part of it its fat (rather unavoidable during a weight gain period) but it’s a small amount. I'm keeping a very close watch on the fat percentage. I meet once a week to my trainer to revise the meal plan and take measurements.
About cardio I've been told to do as little as possible during this period. So I do it only 3 times a week and only for 10 min (med-high intensity) beside the warm-up of course. After I reach the desired muscle mass and a bit extra to make up for the muscle loss during definition phase I'll start the proper cardio.
The pills, its true they are fairly harsh on an empty stomach so don't wait much longer than the recommended 30 min before eating. There is no point in ruining the stomach and not being able to take them anymore. Pus personally I hate doing cardio on a completely empty stomach (despite the fact that it is very effective fat burner) so add some pills to that and my stomach will definitively have issues too. Guess you can try it and see how you feel.
Oh and BTW I have a very new and interesting workout routine. Basically it goes something like this:
4-6 quick reps of a stable exercise (e.g. machine) followed without interruption by 12 slow reps (the same muscle target) of a highly unstable exercise (e.g. dumbbell press on an exercise ball) 60-90 sec rest then repeat
I just got it from my trainer and I'll start it on Monday.

took a few bottles of it. its over priced. if you got some muscle it will make you feel good b/c it keeps your pump up and look big. It didnt make me gain and keep any muscle though
