Hi, I'm new here, hope someone can help. I have a 1995 Explorer XLT, it has a Command start remote starter/power locks installed. Here's the problem....On occassion my FWD, FWD Low, OD off, and Check engine lights will flash in any combination of 1, 2, or 3 of the above, usually FWD and FWD Low together and OD off. Currently it is flashing OD off and every now and then both FWD lights will flash a few times. Whenever this happens my power windows won't work and sometimes my heater stops blowing hot air. I finally brought it to a dealer, but they won't get a chance to look at it until at least tomorrow.
I bought it used in 2000, it has about 120,000 km on it. It starts and runs great, shifts smoothly even in -30 to -40C, never even had to plug it in.
Thanks for any help.
Very puzzled

Did you ever find out what was wrong? This is EXACTLY what has been happening to me and it's driving me nuts.

I have a 95 Explorer Eddie Bauer. Just had the thermostat replaced, when I got the truck back the lights were blinking and the windows did not work. I am scheduled to take it back next week but if anyone experienceing this problem found a cause please let me know. I tried resetting the computer but that blinking 4 wheel drive lights did not go away and the Windows still did not work. Checked fuses etc. Very confused

I also have a 95 Explorer that had all the symtoms as described in these report posts. After many hours of searching I found that the wiring on the back bottom right side of the drivers seat had kink in it. I cut through the wiring sleeve, seperated and straightened the two wires and re-taped them. Also made sure that the connectors were fully seated under the carpet. No more problems with the windows not working.
