Electronic Dash?

I have a 92 Prelude 2.2 vtec, it has the half electronic dash, and I was wondering if it is possible to convert it to the full electronic dash, such as in the 95 version?
Has anybody done this?

None of it is fully digital, or nothing that I have seen in my years of looking at preludes. When they say digital guages, I think they mean the digital tach. There might be a few other things, but the speedo and tach are fully analog (again, as far as I know). You can do it, but it will throw a red flag up on carfax when you try to sell it because your mileage has changed. My opinion: not worth it.

One of these?

The late model 4gens had digital climate controls? I thought it was strictly a Japanese feature..

No, it's JDM. It was what he wanted, but he just referred to the wrong market. It is possible to drop one of these into a USDM Prelude.

I thought so.. I know it can be installed in the USDM preludes, but I think you have to have the whole assembly and not just the control face. From the sounds of it, She (ladylude) sounded like she wanted the the digital odometer.

I never look at the person's name and just assume it's a "he". I'm a phallocentric bastard like that .

Thanks but I was actually referring to the digital dials. I had a 95 Prelude and all the dials were digital but on my 92 Prelude the speedometer and rev counter are not digital, just normal dials, so I was wondering if it is possible to change the whole display to digital?
I should also mention that my Prelude is a Japanese import and I live in England, not the States.

Did USDM Preludes even come with a digital dash? If they did I've never heard of it or seen it...If anyone comes across a pic please post it b/c i'd really like to see it and maybe get it

I meant to say odometer instead of the first "tach".
^^Those pics are what I was talking about.

ok im a little confused on this thread, but do you mean the tach or speedometer that is visible when the cars on, and when the cars off its not visible?
I noticed in my car the tach and speedometer is visible if the cars on or off, but my friends 95 si lude is visible only when the cars on. or keys are in the ignition.

The speedometer (MPH) and tachometer (RPM) look both to be operating on the same fluorescent backlight mechanism. It wouldn't be digital.
The odometer (mileage) is digital and is not visible without the car on. It's a common thing nowadays with newer cars.

OK, I will try and explain with the use of these pictures
This is pre 95 face lift version. It has actual dials in the dash that are visible all the time, they exist as dials do on any other type of car…
http://team.tombraider.be/prelude/dash1.JPG
This is the 95 onwards 4th gen face lift model. The dash is one long piece and the dials do not appear until you turn the ignition on…

Anyway I have since solved this problem, as I have sold my 92 Prelude and I am buying a 95 face lift model ! :D

Lovely. I notice the RHD, so that's maybe why we don't see alot of them around in the States.
