Little Silver Lever

Hey all,
In pictures of the interior of the 360, and the new 612 Scaglietti, i've noticed a silver lever that looks like a miniature gearshift. Can anyone tell me what it is or what it does? I've never driven or been in a Ferrari, so i've never had the chance to figure it out on my own. Thanks!!

that little silver lever is to put the transmission into gear so you can use the paddles on the back of the steering wheel. all the f1-style transmissions in ferrari's have that lever.

it puts the car into reverse if you have paddle shift

well, you lift and pull back for reverse. then it puts itself back into position, and when u want to to into Drive, you either push it forward or hit the up paddle. This is for 612 atleast
