I have a 98 Civic LX (D16Y7) with 76,000 miles.
I/H/E, MSD Ignition, B&M Fuel Press. Reg and some other mods.
I've taken care of the car maintenance wise it's whole life.

I want to put an NX kit on it and squeeze around 60 shot.

My concerns are: ONCE IN A WHILE my auto tranny slips between 2 and 3. Will being on the bottle cause it to fail or should I not worry?

I want to do compression and leak-down tests before squeezing. ANY OTHER things I should be concerned about? If I take these precautions do U think I can safely juice it? Thanks in advance.

60 shot is the largest I would go on your SOHC engine without other alterations...you should be okay if, like you said, you have properly maintained your car. remember you do drive a honda, so 76,000 miles is really just middle age if properly maintained. But with the slippage...any additional power added to your car is going to make it a bit more strenuous on your tranny, it may struggle to keep up...but that's just something you'll have to consider

I think you should be alright if you do the compression and leak down tests. But I believe you may want to consider either a smaller shot or waiting till your in 3rd gear before you spray. You have to consider that the nos is a dramatic and sudden 60 extra hp. That will be strainous on the tranny. But it's your call man.
