I want one too:cry: Yep, pod filter = air filter. It DEFINITELY sounds like a V engine now. Sounds awesome (and really loud too!!) :D :D :D

The pod that I got is the older style Trust Airinx one (I didn't like the new yellow one that they brought out).

Only other mods have been a 2 1/4" exhaust (cat removed). Not sure whether I'm going to do anything else to it as I really want to get a year 2000 one (the last year they were produced I think).

What mods have you done to yours?? Is it a GPX??

I want a HKS one, but thats a bit pricy, releases 9 brake.
Another make is ITG cheaper and lets out 8.5!! so I think it'll probably be the ITG better BHP/£

Totally standard apart from exhaust and Pioneer HU.
Getting a sub made at the mo, and will be getting some components and an amp real soon..... can't wait!!

Nah, just that it’s newer and will have fewer kms on the clock. :D

An yes, that’s my hubbie’s R33 GTS25t Spec II. He bought it late last year and is VERY happy with it to say the least!! :p :D

Yes I must say the lure of the turbo is very big indeed (also the fact that I can get one brand new is a HUGE temptation as well!! :p ). But we’ll just have to see when I take the Silvia for a test drive just what I think. Who knows, I might not even like it! :p

The S15 is a nice looking car but then again so is the FTO (shhh don't tell the SDU guys I said that:silly2: (please))

that is a tough choice to make

Test drive it and then have a think about which car would get more looks?

Weigh up whether you want drivabilty and fun factor or looks and poser-ability! =P

Then forget them both and get a Supra twin turbo!!

It’s going to be a really tough choice (and thanks Tazdev, I know deep down inside all you SDU guys are really closet FTO fans! :p ). If I could combine aspects of both into one car that would be the ultimate. The handling on the FTO is superb and the fact that it’s a V6 wins over a 4 cylinder for me, but on the other hand the Silvia has a turbo, is RWD, is newer and still looks great. Decisions, decisions……….. :p (I think I’ll just let the test drive decide me!)


btw I did seriously consider a TT Supra at one stage however it comes down to the same problem, I can't buy a brand new one :(

Whenever I get in to my Puma I find it more rewarding with manual trans...


would ya suggest I run a CAT bypass?? I think its on its way out.....

I’ve got the tiptronic as well. I really like it though and only wish the Silvia with that option as well! I find it the best of both worlds. I can stick it in drive for all the crappy city driving (stop/start) that I do and then when I’m on the open road I can just push the gear stick across, pull it down to 2nd and away we go!

When I changed my exhaust I got a catless one as apparently they get pretty clogged at about 80,000kms which is what mine was at before I changed it. Not sure what you mean by a cat bypass system as we are not legally required to have catalytic converters in New Zealand so most of us tend to just have them removed. Ideally though I’d go for a high-flow cat system but I think it’s a bit more expensive.

fto girlee... cat bypass is just that... basically where the cat is bolted on to tha rest of tha exhaust, removed and a straight pipe replaced there...

I agree that it's easy in stop start but I prefer tha manual, I'll have to get a manual conversion done me thinks!

No, haven’t done anything stereo wise yet. It came with a CD player when I bought it (a pretty crappy one though!). Not sure what sort to get as yet. I really miss the one that I had in my old car. It was a really good Alpine one with a remote and sounded awesome. I should have taken it out and swapped it with the one in the FTO. :p Oh well! I’ll get another one at some point (or maybe I’ll just persevere until I decide when to look at getting either a Silvia or a new FTO). What have you got in yours???

I've got a Pioneer deh p9300r CD player, am getting a 4 channel amp bridged to run a sub and other 2 for the fronts.

all my stuff is budget stuff that's been chosen and designed by a pro

Yep I test drove an R34 GT-t last weekend and my fate has been sealed. I feel like such a traitor to the poor old FTO, but after driving that R34 that did it for me. :p
