Question about 2001 Aztek key fob

I am just getting my Aztek back from the dealer again. Thanks god this time the warranty covered what I needed. I am buying a new key for the Aztek. $43!!!! The said the key fob would $43 also.My question is can I buy a key fob and can I (mechanically stupid) program it? I have looked on ebay and seen some there. But wont do me any good if I cant program it. Any Ideas? I am trying to save some money. I keep giving the dealership too much!!!
