sunroof mid-position stop

does anyone know how to disable the completely moronic mid-postion stop in the sunroof close switch? when i close my sun-roof, it stops about half way - then i have to release the switch & press again to continue closing - and it drives me nutzo. help?

ya realize it's a safety feature, right?

i do realize what toyota was TRYING to do with "safety" - but i'd argue their methods with the ways everyone else who make cars present safety features for sunroofs. any help on how to fix it?
