My Mom has a 2002 Rio Cinco 4 cyl Auto Trans. It idles at about 750 rpm and is rough and when I turn it up to 1000 rpm it idles good for a while and then dies. Any suggestions ?

mileage?
rios are especially known for chewing up spark plugs in cooler climates. there is a number of updates available for this including the most recent recalls for the reflash and the fuel rail. start with a set of spark plugs and see if it runs any better...then get it to the dealer so they can perform the updates.

Thanks, it was due to the recall on the fuel rail which was cracked and leaking fuel.
