i have a 97 accord, and my e-brake light stays on most of the time. my ebrake isn't actually on, and it will go off after driving for a while. but if i go around a turn just a little bit too fast, and sometimes at the correct speed, it will come back on. anyone else have this happen? and how do i fix this. the performance of my car hasn't changed, but its rather annoying looking at my console and constantly seeing that on.

try checking your brake fluid level.

hey, just letting ya know it worked. thanks a lot, now that dumb light doesn't bother me anymore. now i just gotta replace my radiator so my "maintainence required" light will go back to green. at least i hope that's what it is.

Hey, for the maintenence required thingy, you might just try resetting it. I noted in the manual for my '99 last week that if I changed the oil myself or had a non-authorized shop do it and they didn't reset the maintenence counter, you could do it manually. I know on mine, you hold in the trip odometer reset for like eight seconds. I would think you'd get the check engine light for a radiator problem, not the maintence required.... I might be wrong on this, but I thought the main. req. light was to remind you to change your oil and have it tuned, and the check engine was for other, more serious problems.

well, when it came on (its been on for about 3 weeks now) i went and had my oil changed again at the same place at last time. and it stayed on. so i started paying a lot of attention to my car. i know my radiator needs replaced though, because it leaks, and there are sensors on my radiator so that could be it. i will try resetting it though. thanks.

Go to autozone and have them check your ECU codes to see what the problem is...its free.
