so i bought this crx off this kid and the mototr he put in it is a d15b1
he told me he also swapped the distributor. i dunno what its from but he told me the swapped one will advance the timing.
so...... the car backfires, usually after letting the engine wind down.
how do i solve this?
its obviuosly rich so would regapping the plugs work, or even a fuel pressure regulator?
shit i dunno :dunno:

even if there is a factory CAT on there, that is not to say that it has not been gutted !? But I am gettin the feeling that the problom is this distributor that he added. Go with snowmans advice. dont worry about a regulator, thats not your problom

pretty sure its just a resonator cause its small and its about halfway under the car, no where near the collector.
