Question For You All

I did a rough search and didnt really find anything so I figure I'd ask you guys. I got my AEM CAI almost a year ago and I figure I should clean the air filter. Well I know AEM has that air filter cleaner but I was wondering...Is there anything else I can use to clean the air filter, like something around the house, that someone has tried before? Thanx guys, and girls.

I used the K&N cleaner kit um probbly didn't help you too much but i'm not sure what the filter is made of and whats in the cleaner so i can't reccomend what else to use

blow gun, it will get rid of a lot of the debris but should still use a cleaner kit so it lasts longer

Well I know the AEM CAI comes with a K&N style filter (it isnt actually K&N, is it?) so if I get a K&N air filter cleaning kit will that be ok on the filter I have.

I know it sounds like such a stupid question but I dont wanna go spend 10 bux on the wrong thing.

Mike, I called AEM, they have a cleaning system, but oddly enough, they dont sell anything on their website. Bastards!! I went to optauto.com and looked for like 30 seconds, couldnt find anything, but I think you said you went to find something today at shucks anyways so hpefully you found what you needed.

I went to froogle.com and found a place and its like 7.50-10 bux online. Tomorrow Im gonna try optionR though and if they dont have it probably order it online. Thanks for callin though. I'm on my way again there to get some light bulbs for my dads Explorer so Ill be back later.

i used the K&N kit on an APC filter and it worked, i stuck the filter in a bag and let some of the spray drain out and it came out black so i'm guessing it worked :)
