I just got a 2001 Jimmy SLT and just notice a humming noise/slight vibration on left side of floor, while I'm driving and turn the steering wheel 10-15 degree to the right.... No pulling whatsoever
Could it be left front bearing, or the power steering??

Check your power sterring fluid first. Thats easiest.

Might wanna pull your wheel and repack the bearings if its not PS fluid...

If it get louder as you turn one diredtion while driving and quieter in the other direction, it is a wheel bearing.

The wheel bearing / hub assembly is a one piece unit, and unfortunately is not too cheap.

I would suggest that you replace it with ACDelco OEM parts. Only because I have yet to see one of the new design hubs go bad, and have seen almost every aftermarket cheap-o hub fail within 2 years of replacement. :uhoh:

Hope this helps.

I too have a 2001 Jimmy, 4-wheel drive. The left front wheel bearing/hub failed at 43,000 miles and now the right one is noisy at 48,000 miles. Is this common on a '01 4-wheel drive Jimmy?
