Does anyone know where the ECM is located. I feel that I will need to find one at a Junk yard to replace mine.
Are they easy to replace?

You need to provide a model year.
In any case it is found under the instrument panel. I think the 1999-->2004 is on driver side and earlier vehicles have it on the passenger side.
As far as replacements, I have no first-hand experience in doing it. Physically it isn't hard, I just don't know how many issues you might run into with software incompatibilities, theft system, etc.

Yea, my bad.
It is a 94 Grand AM. 2.3L Quad 4 SOHC.
I was told that it would be on the passenger side and I don't think I have any Security devices on the car.
So what you are saying is that I need to find the same kind of car in the Junk yard as to keep a compatiblity.
If the price is good and it is fairly easy to take out, I am willing to do it.
I feel that my proble could be the Ignition Sensor.
