I've always called my car my "little girl", nut she never had a real person name. Help my come up with a name. A prize may go to the winner.

[Please dont suggest the "Massively Destructive Soap Bar of Impending Doom"]

Elizabeth.
Its a classy name... because Buick is a classy line. But in the down and dirty moments that all Buicks long for, you can call her Betsy or Liz. (IE - She sneaks out late night for a little cruisin' fun).

I know a girl named elizabeth, shes fat and ugly. My car is not fat and ugly...

I think you'd have to tell us year/model along with a picture before we could suggest names.

Ditto.

And the one Elizibeth I've ever personally known was rail thin with a huge rack ;)

That and of course, Liz Taylor wasn't fat and ugly.

big- It's pretty much common knowledge who drives what around here, but:

It's a 1994 Buick Park Avenue

Also, I like your sig, my grandma had a "deuce and a quarter!"

I had a 1951 Studibaker that I named "Mildred."

For the Park Avenue = Shameless

CougKid3030
04-18-2004, 08:58 PM
How about... Andrea?

tman
04-19-2004, 03:17 PM
andrea doesnt seem to fit the car, I do like shameless, but I wanted a more conventional name.

Nicole... or Ashley. But if you name her Ashley there might be more guys then you in the drivers seat....

Sorry. Personally experiance :)

tman
04-20-2004, 05:44 PM
Let me just say, Ashley is what I'll name my daughter if I ever have one, it's the best female name to me. It can't be the car's name too :(

I know several Nicoles, and they all lead sordid lives.

I'm sorry, I'm so picky, but the name has to be perfect. If I only had a 67 GT500, then the name would be simple, Eleanor...

How about Monica.

tman
04-20-2004, 09:56 PM

CougKid3030

Monica is a ricer name.

See: The Fast and the Furious - Ja Rule

Christina?
Nancy?
Jill?
Wendy?
Tamiqua?

My cars name is Shelly... I dont remember why though.

My Mistake. I hate ricers.

CougKid3030
04-21-2004, 07:04 PM
haha. you're forgiven if you give us about 12 "hail domestics" by next sunday.

tman
04-21-2004, 09:07 PM
Thanks CougKid, I was trying to say that thing about Monica nicely!

Anyhow, I would use Christina, but my first girlfriend was named Kristina, and I'd really not like to be reminded of her all the time.

gonenuts15792
04-21-2004, 09:14 PM
Yeah well after I had posted that thing about Monica, I got to thinking about the name and the association it had with ricers, but that was at 3 A.M., I was sort of hoping people would just glance over it and keep suggesting names. Guess that didn't happen. Sorry if I offended your car in any way tman. Oh, by the way I always hail domestics every morning just after i get out of bed.

Is Sarah a ricer name? Knowing my luck it probably is. If not theres a suggestion.

CougKid3030
04-22-2004, 03:56 AM
No... but I dont know if Sarah is a really good car name. Its a great lady name, but I dont see to many cars named Sarah... except maybe the Kia daddy just bought his lil' gal.

How about...
Krysta?
Carrie?
Karen?
Those are all "Ka" names without "ristina". I like K names for cars too. It makes them sound more final... something about the letters K/C.

tman
04-22-2004, 07:15 AM
Like Carla the Car? or Kylie the Car? it's alliterations.

Anyhow, no offense taken g-nuts!

I think maybe I should just shutup now. Anyone agree.

Charlotte is a name that I like.

CougKid3030
04-22-2004, 04:43 PM
Its not "(Instert K Name) the Car" ... its just (Instert K Name). She's not an object buddy, shes a living, breathing thing ;)

tman
04-22-2004, 06:11 PM
I realize that, I was trying to show how K and C names are popular, because they start with the same letter sound. I would NEVER Disgrace a car like that! [The Buick Gods exist too!]

G-Nuts: If you stop posting here, I will hunt you down and beat you senseless! So you better not shut up!

CougKid3030
04-22-2004, 08:43 PM
Ha. Yeah... I think the last thing we need on the Buick forum is like one of the three active members leaving... :-\

I'll post some more "possibilities" later tonight Tman

I didn't mean leave the Buick forums altogether lol, I just thought that it would be best for me to stop suggesting names, before I suggest something even worse than Monica. I would never leave the Buick forums, I love posting here way to much to leave.

I named my car Christine after the book/movie about the possessed car named Christine, anywho a good name for your car would definately have to be Shelly.

I've come up with two names I like, but I want to get a third, and I'll add a poll to the thread...

tman
06-23-2004, 07:17 PM

HottCarGirl
06-24-2004, 10:50 AM
lol... how about Penelope?

tman
06-24-2004, 01:10 PM
Oddly enough, I hate most "P" names, there are some I like. I need to find a list of female names in the internet somewhere...

CougKid3030
06-28-2004, 05:17 AM
I leave for like 2 months and you STILL dont have a name? I cant wait until you get some gal pregnant... that kids going to be like 32 and under the name "2007 Boy, Blonde Hair Blue Eye Edition"

tman
06-28-2004, 01:23 PM
lol @ Cougkid! A name MUST completely fit the car IMO, and I'm picky with it!

Please don't wish children on me just yet!

My Mistake. I hate ricers.
hi! tell me stuff about your car and any stories you have about it and i will come up with a name for it

tman
11-20-2004, 11:07 PM
Well, the car's name must be

elegant yet sexy
classy yet wild

The car is someone I can ALWAYS depend on. If I'm having a rough day, the Buick makes it all better. There HAS to be a name out there that fits her perfect.

How about naming her Catherine. The big Buicks are cars that demand space and and needs alot of attention. The Catherine is a very aggresive name I think it fits.

This has been going on a long time. Will you ever pick one?

Name it Rachael
