White gauges are cool. I see they lowered the redline even more...but I guess I already knew that. I'm still sitting on the fence about the perf'd leather, especially on the doors. I did notice the neat little chrome button on the parking break handle...that's cool. :) Oh yeah I also hear that they now have chrome door sills with 'Infiniti' on them? I'm going to check this out today when i pick up my gaskets for my header install.

yep they do have the door sills.. i saw them at the show...


as for the chrome button, my 2000 has this already.. and i think the redline is the same, maybe it was different for the 99's ?

OK my 99 has the older non-roller rocker SR20DE. Bang on 7000rpm redline. I'm going to the dealership today to check out the price of the door sills and the new front grill. I'll try and get some pics too.

Oh yeah I asked about getting one of the new 2002 grills in black. No listing yet in the parts department. I'll have to wait a couple months. Although they wanted over $200CND for the chrome one! Maybe I'll just paint the one I've got.

i've seen it in person but i'd like another look...

The white face gauges like very smart as do the sills in the chrome.
The blue car ....any pics......looks a neat colour.
Not to keen on the colour of the seats though. Maybe have to see them for real.

The middle leather of the seats is like a nice suead (?). Not bad but I like the full leather of the 2001- better. :)

BTW I'm kinda drunk right now! :silly:

Everything should bolt right on. Except for the gauges....I'd bet you'd have to replace the whole cluster. :(

the new blue color looks cool!!! did the new sports package G comes with that silverish trimming for the area around the shifter? it said so on the infiniti site.
anyway, i am getting the tinted sports package headlights as a group buy for some people but the stupid dealership doesnt know what the part# on those are....and since we dont have a sports package G at the dealer, hard to find out...can you guys let me know what they are so i can get those? the interior looks nice...shoulda bought mine this year! :licker:

Hey guys, I'll get some pictures up ASAP, I'm a newbie here and just got a 2002 G20 in Maui Blue with sport package..... I'ts NIIIICE.... I get some many looks and even more people asking me what kind of car it is. I love it.... So I take it you guys are wanting pics of the grille, and the headlights right? I'll get some ASAP I need batteries for the digital camera.... can someone let me know how to attach pictures since I'm new, do I just attach it below or use some kinda code?

Man, sweet ride. Do they offer a touring package for the 2002 models? I like the new grille, but it looks like if your staring at the picture, the right side is cross-hatched and the left side isnt? is it like that or is it just the picture? I love the white guages. I hope that they will fit on my 99 G20t. Anyways, enjoy your car.

thats really sweet man. i sat in that at the ny auto show. the one i sat in was stick though. y didnt u get stick?

I got the auto because thats all they had, they checked everywhere (almost) and they couldn't find one, in fact they were the only dealer in about a 150+ mile radius that had any in that color at all..... I called a few dealers that told me the '02's aren't out yet! ha.

As for the gauges - they are silver, NOT white, they still look cool, but I liked the white ones in my 200sx.

The front grille is cross-hatched on both sides, weird angle I guess.

There is no touring package this year, its the base model, or the sport package, or the leather package... Thats it.

I love the car, and even though its not a stick, the demo we drove FLEW! Also whenever it may come time for resale (hopefully not soon) the car will probably go a lot easier as an auto.

The interior - Awesome, I love the two tone leather / suede leather, so has everyone thats been in it, very comfortable and you don't go sliding around in it or sticking to it either. Probably won't have much use for the heated seats, but the two cars anywhere near me had identical options.

The Bose system - Sucks, sorry but no highs no lows it must be Bose!!!!! I'll be replacing that ASAP lol.

Rims - I don't know, ok but I like the Konig Verdicts, probably get some 17"s..... Any comments on those?

Thats it for now, other than that I love the car, oh and the clear marker lights on the front fenders, I dunno I think orage would have been a cool contrast to the blue paint, but oh well.

btw smackdown... the guages should fit no problem, however I highly doubt you'll be able to buy just the faces. more than likely you'll have to buy the whole cluster which will be $pricey$ ...also, you have a `99 G so your RPM redline starts @ 7000 but on the `00+ G's the redline starts @ 6750... this shouldnt affect anything mechanically... only visually.

I have the same exact maui blue g20 sport package the interior is awesome looks like IS300 interior. all my friends said that the car looks like a combo of a bunch of nice rides such as bmw,audi,is300,volvo s30. Also check this I have a limited special order stick with 155HP! no kiding but i had to shell out extra bucks

yeah.... the limited edition infiniti tissue box cover and air fresheners add the extra 10 hp right????

There may be a limited special order with extra power - it depends on how good your dealer is at making stuff up and how good you are at accepting BS.... hehehehe
I don't think so.... It was hard enough to find the blue color, and it was only made the first month of production, so basically they aren't making it any more, and when I tried to order the car the way I wanted it, it just wasn't happening.... and I got some killer treatment because of the VPP program (discount since work makes nissan/infiniti's radios)....

The only thing thats limited edition is the Maui Blue color, that's it. Everything's still the same, and yes even horsepower!

chris...the bose system really does suck, i guess its alright for a normal everyday driver but not for me. I'm not normal and plus i would never buy anything bose, home theater stuff, stereo stuff, nothing it all sux :finger:

Ya a bastard rearended me - he has state farm who has been less than co-operative... Its been a week and a day now and I just finally got a hold of their claims department... Now they can't find the police report I faxed them that clearly states he rear-ended me because he wasn't paying attention (musta been checking out the car hahaha). Anyways I'll keep ya all posted but it looks like they'll have to pull some of the metal in rear of the car back out, and prolley need a new rear bumper cover.:(

As for the car - I still love it and so does everyone else its cool going to gas stations and having people come up and ask about the car - most people have no clue infiniti makes anything like it and for that price.....

make sure you get proper compensation for it. state farm is a bitch. basically he's at fault for rear-ending you. there shouldn't be any question at all.

make sure you take it to your body shop.

if the frame/quarter panel is bent that will severely damage the resale value of your car. i got rear ended with my G. needed a new back bumper, trunk bottom, bent quarter panel and the frame had to be pulled straight. you might need the same. to make sure your quarter panels are not bent run you hand over the rear pillar and the area below. at first i didn't know it was bent until the adjuster pointed it out. then i could see. a year later this "bend" in the quarter panel turned up again. (make sure your body shop offers lifetime on all of their paint, body, and mechanical.

if i were you i would take it to an import/body shop where you could get a few "extras" thrown in with the repair.

also, see a doctor or chiropractor. i hate the idea of ambulance chasing but i was rear ended pretty bad. i really didn't have any problems with whiplash, but there was a muscle in my back that became aggravated. it took over a year for that aggravation to go away. got 3 gs out of that but some of my friends said i could have received more if the issue were pushed.

I'll keep all that in mind, actually I went to the ER later that day, my back was killing me and my arms too (I saw him coming and tensed up) Mine was a pretty good impact too, he hit me going 30-35 and I was at a complete stop, the G actually looks DAMN good for taking that kind of hit from a much larger truck. However I think that some of the panels are pushed forward a little closer than normal on the back doors :-(
Anyways the next day my back, neck and elbow were killing me, the doc said I was having muscle spazams, and I got some cool drugs hehe, but I Kentucky its a no fault state - so my insurance pays my medical bills, so I don't know if I can get anything for my back - plus I want some kind of money because if I ever goto sell the car, and someone runs a carfax the accident report will show up....... I have no clue how to deal with them, so I guess I'll learn.

Any pointers would be appreciated:silly:

my older brother just got a 2002 G20 5 speed with sport package. it is black on black like in the pictures. it is SOOOOO beautiful. the pictures do not even do it justice. the seats are something that must be seen and felt to be appreciated. those seats are absolutely the shit. he already put some 17 rims on it, and it is a bad ass car.
