Yep. Just got a new project vehicle Friday. 94 Rodeo 4WD with the 3.2. It appears to be running on 4 cylinders. I removed and cleaned the injectors, as well as cleaned the throttle body, and removed the cat to see if it was plugged. Nothing changed. I'm thinking I should just get new injectors, but I read somewhere that the ECU will shut them off if it detects a misfire. Resetting the computer should have fixed that if it were the case, right? Also, how do you figure out which injectors to buy if you don't want OEM?
Thanks guys!

Tiny- Things to check- cam postion sensor (IIRC, its on the right bank cam sprocket?!?), coil(s) and lastly- valve timing. The T-belt could have skipped a tooth or two, or someone didn't line-up the marks correctly on a belt changeout. Check for OBD codes too!! Just a matter of jumping the two outside pins on the three pin diagnostic connector on pre 1996's.

Joel- I already checked the error codes and got nothing but a 12, which means the computer is working and no codes are stored. Also, how do you check the valve timing? Some expensive machine, probably, eh?

ok, how about this? I finally found a haynes manual for my truck, and guess what? It's not the right motor! The motor in there is out of a 98 or newer rodeo, not a 94 (I wondered what all of the little yellow marks on stuff were for - junkyard marks!) The picture of the 97 and older motor looks similar to mine, but there are slight differences, such as the ignition modules (or whatever they are) in the front of the motor instead of the back, the cmp sensor being under the timing cover, etc. I guess that's why the odometer reading on the title is listed as exempt. Anyhow, I tried the screwdriver method on the injectors, but unless I wanted my head inside the engine compartment with a running motor, it wasn't going to do. So I ripped a long rod out of my buddy's chain link fence and..PRESTO!... the number three and five injectors sound like crap! 1, 2, and 6 sound fine, and 4 sounds ok, but 3 and 5 sound all mushy and out of whack. Looks like it's new injectors for me. I found a set of 6 used but gauranteed good for $125. Thanks for your help, guys. I'll let you know whether or not this one works!
