first mods...

hey guys, first of all i'd just like to say thanks to some of you guys out there who give newbies like me good solid advice and information, its helped me alot. the question i have now is what starting mods should i make. i have a 99 GS-R, and eventually i wanna get it as fast as possible, but right now i need a daily driver. i'm thinking right now that i'll go the turbo route, so i have about $500 to $1k that i can invest now for the summer. what kind of mods should i put in considering that once i get the money i'm turboing it?

it is possbile to fully turbo your car right for $1,500. im in the process of doing that right now. now with a cold air intake you will not need if your getting a turbo. same with the header. a more open exhaust will help though. the only reason that i have those is b/c i wanted to make my car go alittle faster right away. you can easily do what i have for $1k.
