I was reading sumthin and it had said that a 2002 honda civic type r has 200 hp, and a 1997 integra type r has the same hp, i didnt get to see the ft lbs of torque so i was wondering if theres a difference at all like price, weight, and would i be able to make an engine swap with the 02' civic type r.

K series is lighter than the B, about $1000-$2000 more, and yea, sure, you can swap it if you have hte money, time, and know how. Clear enough?

Ok i mean ive got money, nothing to spend it on and if im gunna do an engine swapi mite as well so the best i can even if it does mean saving up for a wile, so pretty much what im asking is what would be the best swap for a civic if I had tons of dough? Best meaning fastest with mods that i would be able to add to it.

well if you wanted to go a turbo route later on then it would really be a waste of money because you would want a b18 plant..but if you wanted to hype it up as much as possible without going boost then thats another story, what kinda car are you tryin to drop into ?

K series isn't a direct swap for 5th gen civics.

ok so i would have to do some custom stuff for it to fit and work?

HAsport, and a couple other places have the kits already, and headers, I am not sure if they have worked out the engine harness problems to get it plug and playish yet though.

even if they havent, you could always get a diagram of each engine and re wire and so forth yourself..altho you would have to cut and paste some plugs....hmm you might not wanna get into that lol. To be honest Bro if you want around the 200hp those engines have, just get a b18c5 Type R motor..just as fast, easier to swap, and get alot of cool points..but this is if you never wanted to go boost of course

Ok, im just goin to go ahead with the b18c5 type r, because I found a site that makes custom turbos for civics with b18c swaps, but im not sure if anyone konws if thats a good idea or not.

you DO NOT want to turbo a B18C5 !!!!!!!! The compression is waaaay to high to even run a small ammount of boost. please dont be one of those Type R destroyers !!!! the b18C5 is for all motor applications only !!!! if you want to turbo go with the B18B integra LS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, well I found somewhere that has an engine mount kit for the H22a in a civic, and it says you can keep your power steering but i dont know, the only question I have is what exactly do I need for a swap, does the engine mount kit come with the complete swap, or would I just need to buy the engine and the mount kit seperate and no complete swap, o ya and would an air lift kit still work if I had an H22a?

Yes you will need separate mount other than what comes witrh the swap (if there are any). Not sure who has the PS mounts but HCP, Place Racing, and Hasport all have mounts to do the swap in general. You'll also need special axles; can't remember what ones they are but check out h22hybrid.20m.com it has all or most the info you'll need.

Depends on where you get the swap from. Some places say complete swap and don't give you mounts, shiftlinkage, axles; so it's not really a complete swap. But any place with all those things included; considering you're putting it into a civic and not a prelude, you have to get axles and mounts that will fit make it work with a civic. So yes technically for you swapping it into a civic it's NOT a complete swap.
