What's a 94 VL Coupe worth?

I know, a car is only worth what someone is willing to give you.

I need to reduce the number of vehicles in my driveway by one. My 94 is getting near 105,000 miles. It's in really good shape with no rust holes or body damage, excellent runner and still gets great mpg but it's a 10-year-old car. NADA, Kelley and the black book give me a mid-point value from $2,000 to $1,600 based options (5SPD, 4W-ABS, AMFM, cruise, recent brakes, battery, muffler and belt) and condition. A search on cars.com found a bunch with prices listed as high as $6,000. And there's a couple pretty similiar models that you could get for $400 with the buy-it-now option on an on-line option.

I started listing it at $1,850 and should have had it sold but the interested party wasn't too good with the clutch. I haven't put much effort into advertising as of yet. I don't need to get rich selling it but I don't want to give it away either.

The insurance is good until August so I'm not in a big hurry. Any advice would be appreciated.

a 10 year old cavy with 100000 miles might be worth around 1000. depending on the condition you could get more or less
