Pimp My Ride!!1

Well not really :screwy: I just got my car back from the paint shop. I love the color. It is not multicolored anymore. It is the factory blue. It is really cloudy out today but I still got some pics.

I am not going to post all of the pics, because I have done that before and some of you maybe tired of seeing them. Here's a little recap though. I bought the car last year in Jan-Feb (can't remember) for $150 w/ a blown head gasket. I had that repaired and started working on my interior. I painted the interior black from the blue that it was and put a GSR console in it. I also changed the seats to Si seats because my std. vinyl seats were ripped and UGLY. I bought some GSR rims and then I came up on some 99-00 Si rims. I put those on and gave the GSRs to my BF. I lowered my car on Neuspeed race springs and got the body work done. Now it has been painted. Next stop is an alarm, tint (maybe??) and then engine swap.

Car's looking very good. Its needs a front lip.. In a month or so, there will be one available for it. ;)

yeah, I am proud of what I have done so far. Just to think, last year when I was going through all the drama, I was thinking about selling it.

I will be looking into a lip soon. I went to the dealership today with my Advance Auto Parts uniform on, and they set up an account so that I (we) can get a discount. The clips I bought today for the molding were about 40% off.

Mugen style.. Quite likley fiberglass. More info will be avail soon, and as soon as they're available this place will be the first to know. :)

Hey T, could you do me a huge favor, I'm looking around to get a nice paint job, but something affordable too. Could you pm me with how much you paid for that paint job? I really like it, its nice and clean and even. I'm just worried, and I dont want to go to like Maaco, but I want to know about how much it might cost me to get mine painted once again. Id really aprpreciate it.

91 LX Dreamer: I can post it online, that's fine. My bodywork was done by a guy we have been knowing for about 4yrs. He does our body work. He took the dents out and primered it for $50.

My BF brother-in-law has been painting cars for about 30 yrs, and he paints ALL of our cars for us. He charges us $100, but we have to buy our own paint. My paint costed me $122 for a gallon.
He will paint (paint only, no bodywork) others car for about $250 though.

So all in all I paid a total of $277. He usually takes the cars at 6am on Sat and we pick them up on Sunday. He paints cars for a cab company so he uses the booth on the W/E.

Hey T, where do you live...lol, I'd drive to where you are and stay for a few nights to get a 500 dollar nice paint job...

Im thinkin about it, I mean come on, lets think, shippin my car over there, 1000+ dollars, shippin it back, another thousand, plus the 500 or so, plus the time off work, hmmm...maybe not, nm then...I suppose Ill just try to find someone around here that can do it, or talk to my cousin....
