Besides that, the old neglected Revell kit of the first generation RX-7 also has an engine. However, from what I remember, its molded poorly with little detail, and it's 1:25 instead of 1:24. Its also would be totally wrong. Anyway, just another motored kit since you asked.

the only reall diff between the 13BT and the 13BREW is the manifolding/piping and the fact that the 13B REW is TT (and hidden under lots more piping/covers). oh and the word 'mazda' on the rotor housing are diff style. (but thats not really seen).
im pretty sure thats it.

If your going to make Ryosukes FC with an engine, you should use the engine from the Tamiya FD R1, cos the Tamiya FC engine has the top mount intercooler, and Ryosuke has changed his to a front mount.

In the anime and manga they dont cos there CG and drawn. If it was real life, of course they would shine. There cars.
Lot of replicas have been made. Even some official ones a few years ago. I think they were at one of the Tokyo AutoSalons a couple of years back.

You might be best off just cutting it entirely off, then once the hood is out, it will be easy to cut the part that you indicate off the hood. Then glue that part back onto the body, and there you go. The hood is removed, and nothing else.
